Revox B77
built from 1977 - 1989
The B77 replaced the A77 in 1977. With the appearance of the B77, Revox became the world standard for semi-professional tape machines. The machines are still in use today. About 220,000 of them were produced. Compared to the A77, the B77 impresses with improved drive control and improved winding properties. The B77 came in the following variants:
MKI
1977 - 1980
The B77 was presented at the IFA in Berlin in 1977 with the B760 tuner and the B750 amplifier. The machine quickly became the world standard for semi-professional tape machines and is still one of the most popular devices today.
MKII
from 1980 and serial no. 100,000
The B77 MKII has a control element for the variable speed under the front flap. This allows the tape speed to be changed by +10% to -10%. There is no longer a Dolby version for this.

pause circuit
We have been manufacturing the pause switch for all Revox B77 (MK I and MK II) and PR99 (MK I to MK III) since 2004.
I was tired of having to hold down the pause button for the duration of the moderators' comments!
Since 2014 we have been offering you the particularly convenient plug-in version.
wired remote control
From time to time we get the wired remote controls for the Revox B77. Really rare, cable remote controls still in the original packaging as in the photo.
If you are looking for a remote control, please feel free to contact us. Even if the cable remote control is very manageable, the remote controls are only sold revised and tested!
dust cover frame
We offer you new plexiglass back parts for the dust protection hoods of the Revox B77 in a smoked glass look.
The back parts are glued and have 4 lugs that fit exactly between the upper front panel of the Revox B77 and the housing.
Cleaning kit B77
In our experience, most faults in recording or playback are caused by dirty tape heads and dirt on the tape guide.
Fluctuations in speed and bad winding are also part of the error pattern!

Pinch roller B77
A thing for itself!
Although pressure rollers with polyurethane have been known for 2 decades that they harden, that there is running noise on the capstan or that the PU liquefies and runs into the device and causes a lot of damage, pressure rollers of this type are still sold!
It was a long time before we were able to offer you the rubber pressure rollers in the current quality!
We only use sintered bronze bearings and real rubber. After production, all pressure rollers receive a circular grind. This is the only way we can comply with the original Revox specifications.
Counter B77
We have been manufacturing digital counters for all Revox A77, Revox B77 and PR99 MK I since 2003. After developing a display for cable lengths in LED technology and a bit bored (those were the times) we had the idea of making a digital counter for the Revox tape recorders.
The first counters were built exclusively with wired components. The display height was 7.6 mm, there were no smaller displays. Only 7-segment displays in SMD technology are also available with 5.1 mm digit height. White 7-seg. Displays with a digit height of 5.1 mm or 7.6 mm are specially manufactured for us.
