Contact spring

for Studer and Revox pressure and rotary switches

After the contact springs for the pressure and rotary switches of various Revox devices were no longer available, we decided to have the contact springs reproduced here as well. The tool costs are also exorbitantly high here! We have allocated the tool costs to 10,000 pieces of these contact springs. Everything else does not make sense!

why do we at revox-online do this?

We at revox-online want to keep the old Revox treasures alive in the best quality and as close as possible to the original! To do this, the switches must also function properly and reliably. The often cited re-bending of the contact springs also only helps for a short time and is not a permanent solution.
We at revox-online have the spring contacts made from phosphor bronze. This alloy is responsible for the permanent spring effect and thus for the longevity of the contact point. In addition, all spring contacts are hard gold-plated. Oxidation is therefore ruled out!
Before you can get to the switch, a very high installation effort is necessary!
Contact springs made of copper are also available online - for little money, of course. Copper does not keep the spring action long, and bending it over and over again does not help for long. The protective gold plating is also missing, so that after a few years the contacts become verdigris. After a short time, the contact problems reappear and you have to dismantle the entire device again, which takes a lot of time.

Slide switch

Not only the rotary switches of the Revox A77, A78 need these contact springs. The pressure switches and buttons for the drive control of the A77, A700, A722 etc. also use the contact springs presented here.
