High-end recording board
for all Revox B77

1.177.239-22 new development
A lot has been improved here too.
The basic circuit has remained the same, there is nothing to improve on. The operating points of the transistor stages are already optimally set, and the gains and equalizations are also right! Nevertheless, we have blocked and filtered the voltages better here too, star-shaped supply lines, 70 µm thick and wide conductor tracks, no electrolytic capacitors in the signal path and so on.
the technique

only slightly but effectively refined

equalization

Two additional modules ensure correct equalization of the recording board. The new recording circuit board fits all Revox B77 (SLS, LS, Std, HS NAB and HS IEC). Each recording board always includes two equalizer circuit boards. You can order additional equalizer boards from us at any time.

Waiver of electrolytic capacitors

It is always remarkable that we do without electrolytic capacitors and the printed circuit board has more populated than ever!
As always, we are happy to do without electrolytic capacitors in the signal. Electrolytic capacitors are sluggish and like to swallow the smallest, finest facets of the music scene that make up the music.

voltage buffering

The voltage is buffered and blocked individually for each amplifier stage and each channel. In addition, the collector resistance of the first stage was split and buffered again. The additional effort is high!
The separate buffering of the individual amplifier stages leads to a better, much finer resolution.

Bypass

Although we at revox-online only use high-quality e-caps from Panasonic, all e-caps are also provided with bypass capacitors. Many Ekos are additional and are used for separate buffering of the operating voltage. Up to 22µF we completely do without electrolytic capacitors!

LED display

A yellow LED indicates the release of the audio signal, another green LED indicates the presence of the operating voltage. The muting circuit is located directly on the circuit board and no longer on an additional circuit board.

Y-REC

The "Y-REC" switching signal is not always available on the printed circuit board, but is always required on our circuit. You can easily make the missing connection using the yellow wire included in the scope of delivery.

adjustment

You will receive precise installation and adjustment instructions for installation and adjustment. With the comparison, we follow the specifications from Studer and Revox for the B77 and PR99. For the adjustment you need the right tool, some experience and reference bands for the two speeds!

Many other optimizations
which we at revox-online don't want to do without!
Position variable capacitor Revox B77 Record, revox-online

DREKO

We moved the variable capacitor for the bias trap to the position of the earlier tunable inductor with an additional circuit board. This variable capacitor could also have been placed directly on the printed circuit board. Then access would be more difficult and no longer in the intended position.
We at revox-online pay attention to every little thing!

Furthermore, the conductor tracks on our printed circuit boards are particularly wide and 70 µm thick. This should prevent losses, no matter how small they are. A star-shaped routing of the supply voltage was not possible for us, but we separated the voltage and the ground for the right and left channel.

Recording board from revox-online

Once again we have used all technical possibilities to pass the audio signal through in the best possible way and without distortion. Even if the band is the biggest limitation, the electronics don't have to further degrade the signal!

if you want the best!
